Support
We feel one of the essential aspects to the mattress is the amount of support it gives you. This particularly applies to a heavier individual, this is why all our mattresses are made with heavy gauge springs. These thicker springs give the mattress ultimate support and create a solid foundation for the sleeper. Our collections also include side support, this is essentially a reinforced side edge to the mattress, which ensures that the product is firm right to the edge.
-
Comfort
Our mattresses are manufactured with luxurious fillings and hand tufted to provide that extra added comfort. An ultra fresh tick encapsulates the filling. These factors combined with the extra firmness of the mattress make for a comfortable area to lay on for a heavier person.
-
Durability
The durability of the mattress is another important element because mattresses under a heavier weight will always wear out quicker. We have taken significant measures to help preserve the mattress life. The heavy gauge springs combined with the tightly packed fillings used to create that extra firm feel will reduce the chance of a mattress dipping under heavier weights.
Types of Mattresses Explained
-
Open Coil Systems
-
Pocket Sprung Spring Systems
-
Memory Foam Mattresses
-
Open Coil Spring Systems
Our Open coil sprung mattresses are heavy duty and contains springs that are interlinked, the springs offer ultimate support and durability. Our open coil mattresses should be turned every 3 months to optimise the mattress life, although mattresses containing memory foam are non turn.
-
Pocket Sprung Spring Systems
Our Pocket sprung mattresses are heavy duty and contain individual pocketed springs, the main advantage is that the mattress offers a 'no roll' effect where the springs support the individual person and give way to certain pressure points in the body. We only use luxurious fillings on our pocket ranges, these fillings are tightly packed together creating a supportive but ultimately comfortable top layer.
Hand side stitching is another attribute to our pocket sprung ranges, this is where we stitch each spring right to the edge of the mattress, this creates an ultimately firm border. Our Pocket sprung mattress should be turned every 3 months to optimise mattress life, although mattress containing memory foam are non turn.

Memory Foam Mattresses
Our memory foam mattresses are designed to mould around the body, giving the individual ultimate comfort. We only use the highest density memory foam, this foam is 'weight sensitive' so will conform to each individuals body weight. It offers ultimate pressure relief.
Please Note: The individual does not necessarily need to overweight or obese for these mattresses to be suitable for him or her, they just are constructed using very high density materials so are able to support heavier weights and ultimately will be more durable.
Our reflections mattresses are fitted with a luxurious Coolmax cover which has heat dissipation features which means that the cover is effective at taking moisture away, giving the individual a cooler nights sleep. For more information on this please visit our Coolmax Technology page.
Memory foam can be incorporated with the above spring systems.
These mattresses are also non turn.

Waterproof Mattresses
We offer our waterproof mattresses as an alternative option for those suffering from incontinence and/or challenging behaviour. They are hard wearing and have water-resistant properties for their life as long as the mattress is cleaned regularly.
Always avoid using chemicals on the mattress and wipe clean using warm water. Where possible, clean away any liquid as soon as possible. If urine is left on the mattress for an extended period of time, this will weaken the PVC and therefore the water-resistant properties of the cover. The mattress would also lose its guarantee if not regularly cleaned.
We offer all products within this collection in either a open coil, memory foam or pocket sprung variation. The style of the mattress does not affect the length of guarantee.
*Please Note: The mattresses displayed are unsuitable for customers suffering from pressure sores. Please Contact Us for more information on sourcing medical mattresses.
