The Pentney HD Bunk provides the highest support rating in the collection at up to 40 stone per user. Its reinforced steel frame and heavy-gauge mesh sleeping platforms make it particularly suitable where a higher level of support is required.

The Anmer HD Bunk supports up to 25 stone per user and can be separated into two single beds. The Bircham is another detachable steel option, available in single and small single sizes, with support for users weighing up to 20 stone.

For a wooden finish, the Kelling and Langham use knotless rubberwood frames with supportive pine slats. The Kelling has a clean shaker-style appearance, while the Langham features chunky corner posts and panelled end sections for a more substantial look.

The Langham HD Quad Bunk provides wider sleeping areas in either a small double or double configuration, accommodating up to four sleepers. The Suffolk offers a detachable solid pine frame, handmade in the UK and available in single and small single sizes.

Metal or Wooden Adult Bunk Beds?

Metal adult bunk beds generally have a cleaner, lower-bulk appearance and are easy to maintain. Reinforced steel and mesh construction also allows models such as the Pentney and Anmer to provide high model-specific support ratings within a compact footprint.

Adult Bunk Bed Safety and Mattress Requirements

Adults can use either sleeping level provided each person remains within the stated support rating. Only one sleeper should use each upper sleeping level at a time.

Always assemble the bed according to its instructions and install every supplied guard rail and fixing. The upper-bunk mattress must remain within the maximum permitted depth shown on the product page so the guard rail provides the intended protection.

Keep the ladder and access area unobstructed, position the bunk bed away from windows, ceiling fans and light fittings, and inspect the frame fixings periodically. Upper bunks are not suitable for children under six years old.
