Working Towards Net Zero
Net Zero is a means of levelling up the amount of greenhouse gases omit into the atmosphere with those that are taken out. Our Government have set out to aim to be net zero by 2050 - and Reinforced Beds are taking steps towards this within everyday processes.

Our Products
Reinforced Beds core mission is to supply durable and sustainable products, using higher quality materials with tried and tested products that outlast any similar products that are on the market. Longer lifespans mean fewer replacements, cutting down on waste and resource consumption.
- Our metal bed frames are made with reinforced steel and mesh, they are 100% recyclable.
- A highlight of our wooden bed collection is that certain beds use rubberwood which is fast growing and renewable. Whilst all beds have 28mm solid slats.
- Our top-selling Brick Mattress uses recycled polyester from bottles, avoiding non-renewable fillings All our mattresses are made with sustainable fillings, handmade in the UK.

Warehouse & Office
Our Company is proud to announce that our office and warehouse operations have achieved a net zero status. All of the factors below have helped us contribute to this:
- Over 25,000 Kwh of Electric Produced in Year 24-25 from our 26.4KW Solar Panels.
- Electric forklifts (moved from diesel).
- Insulated warehouse (with no need for heating).
- Well insulated office (Passive Haus Design) with triple glazing, air source heat pump, and extra thick insulation.

Disposal & Recycling
Our company holds the ISO 14001 accreditation, which is the international standard for environmental management systems (EMS). It provides a framework for organisations to improve their environmental performance by managing their environmental responsibilities in a structured way. The below steps help us achieve this:
- We work directly with Anglian Waste Solutions, a local company specialising in metal recycling.
- Any general waste from site is collected by a reputable waste carrier and incinerated to use as fuel.
- Since 2024 our company have given away over 100 mattresses to the British Heart Foundation.
- All mattresses that need disposing of are sent to a mattress recycling centre.
